UPS, DHL, or USPS Express recommended). Multiple applications can be sent and

Enclosing a prepaid airbill (FedEx, UPS, DHL or other expediting carriers) or
an envelope with sufficient stamps (US Post Office Express Mail, Priority Mail
with Delivery Confirmation, or Certified Mail. Regular Mails or Priority Mails

1.  Application Form:
    Click here to complete the online India Visa Application. After the application has been completed,
    you must print and sign the application.
2. Passport:
    Passport must have a minimum validity of six months from the date of application with at least two
    blank visa pages. Last 2 amendment pages are not acceptable.
  • Applicants who are not USA Citizens, but hold long term US visa or a Green Card should submit a
    copy of the visa or the Green Card.
  • Additional documents for the applicant who has  Pakistan or Bangladesh background. Click here to

3. Photographs:
    2 latest identical passport size photographs. Depicting front pose against light background on
    photographic paper. No glasses are allowed to be worn in the photo.
4.  Proof of Address: Photocopy of driver license or utility bill must be submitted.
5.  Admission Letter: A letter confirming admission from an institution along with evidence of financial
    arrangements for the stay in India should be submitted with the application.
6.  Medical or Paramedical Courses: In case of admission in medical or paramedical courses in India,
    a letter of Approval or No objection certificate from the Ministry of Health, Government of India is
    required. Similarly, for admission to graduate or post-graduate courses in engineering/ technical
    institutions, a letter of approval or a no objection certificate from the Ministry of Human Resources
    Development(Department of Education) is required.
